workshops

Art workshops and art training programmes - teaching art to children, adults and families in Worcestershire and throughout the UK.

With extensive experience, of teaching art to all ages, creating art workshops and learning programmes, and coordinating art projects, I can work with your organisation to design a bespoke package that suits your requirements. Whether that’s a one-off art workshop or a 6-week arts training programme, I ensure each one is fun and allows participants to shine.

I have full public liability insurance and a DBS certificate (available to view on request). I am committed to a sustainable arts practice, re-using and sourcing eco-friendly products where possible. I have a teaching qualification, a certificate in education.

All of my packages can be tailored for children, families or adults alike. Sessions can vary in duration from half to full days and to suit your needs. All of the sessions are artist-led, with a strong focus on play, making and exploring your unique voice.

workshop and session themes

Art workshop themes include: Pattern, Print Making, Drawing, Mark Making, Painting, Collage, Mixed Media, Illustration, Textile Design and Colour.  Any of these can be adapted to suit a topic of your choice.

"There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing people slow down, drop their daily cares and become totally absorbed by their creative process. Even those who haven’t picked up a paint brush since school find themselves caught up in the moment, worries forgotten, as they produce their own works of art. It’s my honour to be able to help them on that journey ..."

testimonials

"A big thank you to Sarah for coming to our offices to host some workshops for our employees. The tailored classes went down perfectly allowing people to get creative whilst exploring different techniques and uses of colours and materials to produce something that everyone was so proud of.  Sarah has a great way with people – engaging and inspirational. We’re looking forward to working with you again soon!"

Gymshark, Solihull

"The little books created during the workshop were delightful and it was a pleasure to see parents so engrossed in creative play with their children (and vice versa). I was also extremely pleased with the ‘low tech’ environmentally friendly approach of using recycled materials."

"It is a pleasure to work with Sarah. She is very professional in her approach to the workshops she does here at New Brewery Arts and she brings such fun, creativity and life to the studio when she is teaching. The children learn a wide range of skills and produce fantastic work in only two hours!"

"Sarah was successfully awarded a commission by The Infirmary in a joint project arts and reminiscence initiative working with Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire…Sarah produced an excellent programme through working in liaison with the participants and made the group feel extremely comfortable and welcome, as well as introducing individuals to a range of new skills through an imaginative programme using a mixture of accessible techniques."
